Ishac Bertran

It takes a special kind of creative to take one of the most beloved artistic vehicles of all time, vinyl, and not only modernize it, but make it even cooler too. But that’s what Ishac Bertran, a Barcelona-born artist who works in Copenhagen, has managed.

He recently blogged about creating music samples with vinyl records and his process amazed us.

Zombie Disco Squad

Traditionally the home of minimal music, Berlin has long attracted a certain type of musician to its famous night scene. The city’s underground clubs hold a legendary status in the eyes and ears of clubbers from around the globe.

One musician who couldn’t resist Berlin’s pull, is Lucas Hunter, half of Zombie Disco Squad. Previously a resident of London, Lucas moved to live and work in Berlin when London’s scene could no longer satisfy his creative urges.

When we talk about ‘Superstar Creatives’, we’re talking about people who tread new grounds in creativity and inspire others to think in ways they never considered before. The mark of a true great.

Michael Rother has done this and more. He is a founder of NEU!, Harmonia, and member of the group Kraftwerk, his music has influenced the likes of David Bowie, Radiohead and Joy Division. There are few people who have influenced modern music as much as Michael.

It’s a live performance that takes everything awesome about the drama of the opera, and modernizes it by the power of electro.
