Ramon A. Olivares was the main winner of our Battle of the Cities: USA challenge. Part of his prize was to have his work made into advertising in the metropolis that inspired it - New York City. The work has recently gone up and is making the streets of The Big Apple that bit more beautiful.
We spoke to him about creativity and his HUGO Create experience.

As you might have known from our teaser we’re almost ready to start a new challenge. And this time we’re going for something a little different.
With the Berlin Stencil Art challenge we tried to mix things up. We explored and immersed ourselves in a niche, progressive form of art. Now we aim to explore the most progressive field in which we can be creative – within the world of technology.

As we demonstrated in our interview with Benjamin Vielhauer, we love it when we find out about members of our creative community’s other talents. So when we saw the photography of Monica Murgu, another winner from the event, we couldn’t resist the temptation to feature her as well.
Monica is an Industrial Design student from Bucharest, with a whole lot of design and creative talent. We spoke to her about the event, and her very personal style of photography.

During the Berlin Stencil Art event we discovered a few things about our winners. We discovered that beyond crafting the works of art that won them the challenge, they possess a wider array of creative skills.
One discovery we made was that Benjamin Vielhauer has used HUGO Create to inspire a whole lot more than just his original work of art. After entering the One Fragrance, One Tree challenge, Benjamin and some fellow students went on to develop a theoretical marketing project for the fragrance.

Last Friday our five winners flew into Berlin to realize one of their creative dreams. They came to paint the entries that won them the Berlin Stencil Art challenge next to a forefather of urban art, Blek Le Rat.

The day is nearly upon us. The HUGO Create Berlin Stencil Art Challenge culminates this Friday as the winners of our competition fly in to Berlin from all around the world, to paint alongside our urban art inspiration Blek Le Rat.
The winners, who come from Romania, Netherlands, the USA, Ukraine and Germany, will paint the entries that our judges and Blek Le Rat loved so much.

Last week, American musician, actor, director, and all round creative force, Jared Leto, came to the beautiful and edgy city of Amsterdam to make his first appearance as the face of the new fragrance, HUGO Just Different.
The effortlessly cool face of the HUGO Man and HUGO Just Different fragrances spoke about his association with the brand at a former industrial hall and now über-trendy nightclub WesterUnie.

When Blek Le Rat is not judging our competition, preparing to paint at our live event in June, or dreaming up his next cutting edge piece of stencil art, he has a very curious mind. And he wants to find out more about you.
